Throughout my athletic experience, I have had the opportunity to be trained by a number of coaches and specialists. From football coaching, basketball coaching, speed training and strength training, I have been exposed to a variety of techniques.
Andrew's approach was by far the most productive in developing my strength and overall athletic ability. My speed and stamina were drastically improved. One of the major issues that Mr. Jones stressed was the importance of technique.
After training last summer, I can personally say that I have never been as healthy nor as strong, both due to the new techniques. Andrew's enthusiasm during a challenging workout is extremely refreshing. I would not be experiencing the success that I am now if it had not been for Andrew's efforts.

Andrew has helped me become an all-around stronger player with his innovative training methods that keep me in the gym and excited to work out. He has helped me get to the next level of hockey with his inspiring attitude, and his motivation in the gym. Without his level of expertise, I would have not been able to perform at the level I am at now.
Being a smaller player on the ice, I need all the help I can get. Not just to perform better, but to add some size to avoid injuries. Andrew introduced me to off-ice conditioning, and made me realize its importance. I noticed a huge difference in my ability to perform on the ice over the time I spent working with him. He helped me to pack on 15 pounds of muscle.

I would have to consider myself very lucky to have Andrew as my dad in my early years as an aspiring soccer player. Since U-6, I have received personal training from Andrew that is second to none. Whether it was 1vs.1 in the greenhouse, technical sessions, speed and agility, shooting; or training with a U-17 boys team, he was able to provide the most knowledge of anyone I have been around. He can specify your weaknesses and target them during the sessions. He knows exactly how to push you to get the most out of every session while helping you gain confidence through your development. I owe all of my soccer successes to Andrew (“my dad”). I’m entering my third year in the U.S.A., playing for a NCAA Division 1 University. ”My son Jason has played hockey at the AAA level for the last three years. His goal and dream is to get drafted into the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Realizing that off-ice conditioning was as important as on-ice conditioning, in achieving his goal, we decided to enroll Jason with the Fitness High Performance Hockey Training Program at Pure FX. His results to date have been truly outstanding. The P-FX Sport Specific training programs have helped to increase Jason’s speed, acceleration, strength, power and on-ice confidence. My name is Luigi Bernardo and I’ve been a member at Pure FX Fitness Studios for a little less than a year now. The reason I had joined the gym was to get my body in shape for hockey. Since joining the fitness studio in November of 2008, my progress has been excellent. I find that my speed is untouchable to everyone else’s, and that my arm strength is doubled to all the other players I face. I’d like to thank Andrew, my personal trainer, who helped me reach my potential, and Pure FX Fitness Studios, for making this goal achievable. I started working with Andrew to progressively become better at the sport of soccer. The areas of strength, speed, and conditioning were the main target areas of my performance that we worked on. Andrew put me through excellent soccer-specific training routines that brought out more of my potential strength and optimal performance. Each of these programs were specific to my sport, and gave me an edge over other athletes I was competing against, thus raising my game level. My explosiveness and speed was the initial change I felt as I worked through the program. Andrew’s programs were designed in such a way that you will progress, no matter what. You must always push yourself and never just go through the motions. These were just a few of the great principles he taught me. If I didn’t have the training that Andrew provided, I would not be injury free like I am now. I have never worked with a trainer more devoted to his athletes than Andrew.

Over the past 18 months, I have been training tirelessly at Pure FX to improve my strength and conditioning for my sport of para-cycling. When I first met Lora and Andrew, they were very helpful and enthusiastic about addressing my needs. I've been in a wheelchair for over 10 years due to a car accident, and finding a gym and trainer that can accommodate my needs has been tricky. They introduced me to Filander Lima, who right away wanted to help. I am very lucky to know Filander and all the other staff members who are friendly and dedicated to addressing their clients’ goals. A great atmosphere, clean and durable equipment, too. I am very successful in my sport, and Pure FX has played a huge role in my success!

Dear Andrew,
I would like to express my appreciation for giving me a second chance and believing in me when no one else thought I would play soccer again.
My dreams of playing university soccer were shattered after having multiple injuries in the past three years. On my left knee I have had ACL reconstructive surgery and a meniscectomy. On my right knee I have had ACL reconstructive surgery, as well as a meniscal repair.
I have now been training with Andrew for the past four weeks. My legs have never felt stronger and my pain has diminished drastically. I am glad to say that Andrew has gotten me back on the field, not only physically, but mentally as well. As a personal trainer, Andrew customizes his clients workouts to suit their own needs. Even though Andrews sessions are challenging and tough, the results speak for themselves.
I would highly recommend Andrew as a personal trainer: he is professional, creative and encouraging. Every workout is different and he always seems to keep it interesting.

As a competitive junior figure skater, it was necessary to improve my leg strength, core and endurance for competition. In choosing Pure FX Fitness Studios, I was looking for a program to enhance my overall fitness on the ice. So I began working with Andrew. I learned how every exercise would affect my skating, which overall was making me a stronger skater. With his knowledge and love for training, it’s great to have a trainer so enthused to see improvement.
Whether it was leg strength, core, balance or cardio, it definitely helped my skating performance. Andrew has also taught me what to eat, when to eat, while training at high-intensity during the competition season.
Since training with Andrew, I excelled with two personal best scores, and competed at a national event, also receiving personal bests. Thanks to Andrew’s continual motivation, contagious enthusiasm and positive attitude, my goals for this season were attainable. I highly recommend Andrew as a personal trainer. No matter what you are looking for, he knows exactly what you need to do, to get you where you want to be.

My name is Athena Kirou-Mauro. I have been training with Andrew for just over a year now. I originally started to train with Andrew after having injured my knee, which required surgery. Because of this, I was unable to participate in any of the sports I loved, especially soccer until after having had the surgery. Due to the over eight months of not being active, my strength and endurance were affected negatively. I was anxious to get back to being active and needed to do so very quickly, yet safely.
I was fortunate enough to have walked into Pure FX and meet Andrew. I knew from the start that he would be the one to get me back to the sports I loved, at the level I was prior to my injury. Right from the start he would challenge me to levels I never knew I could reach before. His expectations of me have helped to improve my strength, speed and endurance.
